Ethnocentrism is a petty idea and is very unhealthy for diverse people to stay in unity. Here people with ethnocentrism does not appreciate other culture and is not willing to accept that the other culture may be equal or even superior to them. Having a stereotypical thought is very unhealthy and the extremity may lead to racism. For instance, some Americans think that they are good drivers and Asians cannot drive. They feel that they have more knowledge in deciphering the geography than the Asians.
