Do you think cognitive adventurousness is a part of successful aging? Please give examples to support the answer.
Cognitive adventurousness refers to the willingness of people to learn new things. This would mean that it refers to the life long learning which would keep them not only engaged but also entertained. When people learn new things, they would be able to develop interest in them thus wouldn’t feel purposeless. Thus, when aged people learn new skills, they wouldn’t feel loneliness and emptiness. For example, if an aged person learns to use the social networking media, they would be able to learn more new connections which would help them to be engaged. If an aged person learns painting, drawing or even gardening, they would be able to keep themselves engaged for more time while at the same time could also make some income if they are good at it.
