C. The importance of embracing one's own ambition and drive for power is not one of the central concept of Confucius' teaching.

Confucius proposed that a ruler should advocate for justice , equality and compassion, unlike Machiavelli who proposed a concept of amoral state men craftship that allowed the kings to stay in power by hook or by crook. Confucius proposed that ruler of any kind must posess virtue of maintaing balance in the society. This is symptomatic of good governance.
