9) Score banding -

The score of applicants which fall within a particular band is used to filter out the most deserving ones on the basis of results in the form of their score and ranking. This score banding is then used to select the personnel amongst the ones categorised within the required band score.

10) Adverse impact - It is a biased employment practise which affects and favors certain groups. Adverse impact results in the discretion due to partiality during hiring or assign promotions in employment.

Assessment of adverse impact - Adverse impact is assessed by monitoring and analysing the flow data of all the applicants and the resultant differential rate in selection.

Adverse treatment - It is a way by which any applicant proves that he or she was illegally discriminated during employment. Differential treatment is based on certain characteristics which result in favourism.
