Gender differences affect personality as from an evolutionary perspective personality traits are clearly not neutral both due to the biology i.e. nature and nurture. Divergent sexual selection pressures on men and women lead to the production of the substantial differences in personality traits due to mating and reproductive strategies. For example, sexual promiscuity is predicted by traits such as; extraversion, openness to experience. The way we dress; for example from the very beginning pink color is associated with girls and blue for boys. The hairstyle we have is also influenced by gender differences. The stereotypes prevalent in the society define the roles of men and women. Women being considered as good caregivers and men good for earning a living for the family.
