A wife baths Tale is a story which emphasis on how a women is dependent on her husband for everything. The character called "wife of bath" was a popular character in the tale because she expresses her view & feeling regarding marriage and women expectation regarding medival periods. This character try to explain her experience with men and her belief about marriage. she got married to 5 men and she describes how she got control over the men through having sexual relationship with them but lost most of her husband. She got married to all these men because of money. Atlast she lived loyally with her 5th husband until he was dead.
