The term 'evidence based mental and health community programmes' was coined in 1960's. It uses the principals of applying the most effective health treatments and intervention to improve the health sector, by using the research results (empirical evidence) that is available.The evidences are usually provided by clinical trials and scientific observation of a body of inquiry.Further, a systematic evaluation of the evidence is done via meta-analysis to decide whether an intervention programme is needed or not. There are multiple processes that needs to be considered when implementing evidence based mental and health programs. Few of them are as follows.

1.One of the process of implementation is to a create a uniform and standardized guidelines to train the new workers and additional transformative training modules for the existing workers to adapt and adopt to the treatments and interventions to deal with trauma and health concerns of the population. Although many practitioners prefer acquiring a dual intervention skills for handling trauma cases, as recognise a need for change in this area. Atleast, the practitioners should learn new skills which are in consistent with their current treatment programmes and professional values. For example, clinical psychologist would benefit from the new family interventions and therapy skills and theories for dealing with families of the trauma victim.

2.Second process of implementation can be by formatting resources that allows the consultation, training and practising in the areas of evidence based practice (for example, psycho-social education and illness diagnosis, management and recovery ). There should be an extensive field trail, clinical trails and empirical observations of the implementation resources which can be encouraged by the corporations and non-profit organization working in health sector to nationalise and practice the evidence based research in the field settings.

In short, there are mutilple process to apply the evident based mental programmes in routine treatment settings which will add empiricity and insight on how to deal with trauma and acute health problems in the country.
