Susan, a college student, is anxious whenevershe must speak. Her anxiety motivates her to prepare meticulously and rehearse material again and again. Is Susan's reaction normal, or does she have an anxiety disorder? explain(2) criteria you used in ariving at your answer.
Susan does not have an anxiety disorder. Two criteria that I used in arriving at this answer are:-
1). Susan's anxity is short termed. And it ends after a fair nervousness inducing situation ends. If it would have been anxiety disorder she would have had panic attacks or anxiety more often and because of more irrational causes.
2). If it was anxity it would have affected other areas of her life dreadfully too, like relationships, work etc. Here this short term anxity is only making her prepare and review material again and again and ends with it.
