A philosophical and ethical stance emphasizing the value and agency of human beings, individually and collectively, and generally preferring critical thinking and evidence over the acceptance of dogma or superstition is called Humanism. the Renaissance is the age of enlightenment. The proponents of humanism believed that learning of, humanistic studies, consisting of the study and imitation of the classical culture of ancient Rome and Greece, would produce a cultural rebirth. Thus according to a new interpretation of Renaissance is called “civic humanism".
