Answer #1

Answer: B. less effective than positive reinforcement.

Explanation:

Operant conditioning will try to change people's behavior by giving rewards and punishments. This theory was proposed by B.F.Skinner. Rewards can be given in two ways those are positive reinforcement and negative reinforcement.

Positive reinforcement: The person will receive wanted stimulus for showing desired behavior.

Negative reinforcement: The person will be detached from the unwanted stimulus for showing desired behavior.

In positive reinforcement the person getting reward directly. In negative reinforcement the person getting reward indirectly. Direct rewarding will show great impact than indirect rewarding.

That's why according to B.F.Skinner, negative reinforcement is less effective than positive reinforcement.
