Answer #1

Answer (A) the ability to understand, but not to produce language.

The corpus callosum is the part of the mind that allows communication between the two hemispheres of the brain. It is responsible for transmitting neural messages between both the right and left hemisphere. it is the largest fibre path way in the brain.

After a split brain surgery, the two hemispheres do not exchange information as efficiently as before.

The right hemisphere excels at non verbal and spatial tasks where as the left hemisphere is more dominant in verbal task such as speaking, writing. So right hemisphere recognise the object/items/language and left hemisphere produce. so we can conclude that the right hemisphere is unable to generate language but it has some capability to understand language.
