The House of Representatives is much more polarization than the Senate because in case of the former, compromise is not needed. The House of Representatives require to come to terms with the bills passed by the Senate. The Senate, however, still follows the filibuster rule which means that the majority party still needs the minority party to carry out certain functions. This requires compromise between the parties. If the House of Representatives was structured in a similar fashion, it is likely that the resulting polarization would also be far lesser.
