Provide an example of when you engaged in the fundamental attribution error.

My friend often struggles with passing her examinations and barely manages to pass. Although she used to explain to me that being a non-native English speaker, her main struggle is with the language and not understanding the concepts. However, I tended to disregard her explanation and instead attribute her exam results to her lack of interest in the course. Recently, however, I saw her explaining several concepts to another classmate who also happens to also speak her native language. It appeared to me that she was extremely well-versed with the course material as she was able to address even tricky doubts.
