  1. Nash develops a friendship with his roommate Charles and continues to bond with him. In reality, there was no Charles. He was experiencing a visual hallucination.
  2. Some years later, he began experiencing a new hallucination of Charles's niece.
  3. He experienced another hallucination, that of Agent Parcher from the FBI>

Delusions in the Beautiful Mind:

Delusions are false beliefs that are held with no basis in reality.

  1. Delusions of persecution: Nash believed that the Soviet spies were after him.
  2. Delusions of grandeur: Nash believed that he had been selected for a special mission with the FBI.
