Discuss some of the reasons why students and staff resist change

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Change is inevitable. There are umpteen reasons for individuals to resist change. One of the major reasons why students and staff resist change is when they misunderstand or don't understand the reason for change. Change is not just inevitable but is good too. It breaks free from the monotony. However, when the reason is not clear or understood, it leads to resistance. The other reasons for resisting change are; the fear of unknown, inability to adapt to a new environment, thinking it to be a passing phase or a fad and etcetera. These are just a few reasons for why students and staff resist change.
