Answer #1

Scientists at the University of Utah have found that clearly people use their full brain and there is no such thing as use of left brain and right brain personalities. They have done experiment and analysis on more than 1000 brains. In journal PLOS ONE a paper on this research is published in august.

Kara blacker PhD, Science of Learning Fellow at Johns Hopkins University write an article in which she states that there is myth that every individual has a dominant hemisphere and they work according to that particular side. But this is not true since there is no scientific evidence that shows that people use one side of brain more than other side, even it would be really inefficient to use only half of the brain.

The medical director now wonders if the test used would detect an important difference if one were present. A report stated that 22% of people agree with the death penalty for punishment for criminals. You conduct your own SRS study and find that of the 93 people you interviewed, 23 agree with the death penalty under these conditions. You want to test the claim that the percentage of people who believe in the death penalty is greater than 22%. In a recent survey conducted by pew research, it was found that 156 of 295 adult Americans without a high school diploma were worried about having enough saved for retirement. ** Please only use RStudio to solve this problem and show code ** A fire department aims to respond to fire calls in 4 minutes or less, on average. Response times are normally distributed with a standard deviation of 1 minute. Would a sample of 18 fire calls with a mean response time of 4.5 minutes provide sufficient evidence to show that the goal is not being met at the significance level α = .01? Is this a left-tailed, right-tailed,...

4. Previous research states, "no evidence currently exists supporting or refuting the use of electric fans during heat waves" in terms of mortality and illness. Counterintuitively, Public Health guidelines suggest not using fans during hot weather, with some research reporting the potential of fans accelerating body heating. You decide to research further this seemingly contradictory guidance, hypothesizing that the true population average core body temperature amidst higher ambient temperature and humidity levels while using an electric fan is greater than...

Does it seem to you that people tend to be absent more on some days of the week than on others? Recently, a major biotechnology firm collected data with the hope of determining whether or not its employees were more likely to be absent (due to personal reasons or illness) on some weekdays than on others. The firm examined a random sample of 100 employee absences. The distribution of these 100 absences is shown in Table 1 below. The observed...
