Question

Describe global poverty

Describe global poverty

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Almost half of the population lives in poverty and each country has its own threshold limit for determining poverty. Most of these people live in African and Asian countries with few of them in South America. Most people do not have three meals and go to bed in empty stomach. Poverty has many effects and it shouldn’t be limited to food and shelter alone but its impact should be extended to education, medical facilities, healthy environment etc. Poverty also forces people to involve in deviant behaviors because they haven’t got any opportunity in life to improve themselves. Poverty also causes more deaths every year among the poor due to lack of healthy food and required medicines. Poverty is depriving people of their normal life because they can’t think beyond filling their stomach.
