The three major domains of human
development are:
- Cognitive
- Physical
- Psychosocial
How developmernt in one domain may
lead to development in another domain:
- Physical changes in the body occur
as a result of maturation and biological development. Growth is
both due to physical growth and mental growth.
- Mental growth can also be termed as
cognitive development. This is the stage where a person begins to
form an identity of themselves and others, inspired by the
household environment and the environment in the community.
- Interaction with people in the
community gives rise to a sense of community feeling and
togetherness or identifying themselves as being as a part of an
ingroup, thus leading to psychosocial development.
