Once stereotypes become established,it will become an integral part of our life.And we will feel difficult to change it and may lead to some self-fullfilling prophecies in which what we expect in a particular person or a social group will come true.That is,our expectation or prediction will come true.And we will respond in a way like we already knew them.

Stereotypes also get maintained according to our remembrance about the information that confirms stereotypes.For example,if we believe that women are bad at driving,then we remember that information when we see a woman driving poorly,but if we see a woman good at driving,then we will forget about that.

So this is one of the problems associated with stereotyped thinking.
