Firstly, we will need to do an intelligence assessment (IQ) using one of the intelligence scales like Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) or Binet Kamat Test (BKT) to get an IQ score so they can be categorised as mild, moderate, severe or profound.

Secondly, an assessment for baseline functioning should be done so all the students baseline levels can be formed.

Thirdly, an assessment for specific learning disability should be done to access for any academic or reading and writing disability so accommodations can be made accordingly.

Fourthly, a behavioral assessment should be done using the Behavior Assessment System for Children (BASC) or Parent Rating Scale (PRS) so any behavioral difficultues can be assessed.

After all these assessments have been done then a therapy plan can be made accordingly.
