One of the most important thing that the modern humans possess and that which differentiates them from other living creatures is their language ability. Before humans started using the language, they used sign language which helped them master non-verbal communication which still has an important place in the communication process. Non-verbal communication includes, facial expression, eye-contact, posture, gestures and even the smile. When one is in a conversation with others, one needs to look at others and speak, one needs to express the facial expression which is relevant to their speech and emotions, one needs to take a proper posture and use appropriate gesture that won’t offend others in anyway. Even the spoken words have their own body language such as tone, intonation, accent, pronunciation etc. Words will be empty pots if they are not accompanied by non-verbal communication.
