The optic nerve, it is a cable like group of nerve fibers, interfaces and transmits visual data from the eye to the brain. The optic nerve is predominantly made out of retinal ganglion cell (RGC) axons.
Optic nerve, second cranial nerve, which conveys tactile nerve motivations from the more than one million ganglion cells of the retina toward the visual focuses in the brain. By far most of optic nerve fibers pass on information with respect to central vision.

Cranial nerve VII (Facial Nerve) is a ‘mixed’ nerve (i.e., it has both sensory and motor components). Its motor nucleus at the junction of the pons and medulla innervates the muscles of the face. (a) How does the motor innervation of the upper portion of the face differ from that of the lower? (b) The sensory component of this cranial nerve mediates what specific sensory aspect of what structure?
