It is convenient to think of Memory acquisition is the process consisting separate stages. First, one acquires new information (acquisition). Next, the information remains in storage until it is needed. Finally, the information is retrieved. Information that is currently being considered is held in working memory; information that is not currently active but is nonetheless in storage is in long-term memory. Hence, by memory acquisition , I mean the process of acquiring information, storing them in the storage area of Brain and retrieving the information when desired or needed.
