Inductive argument is a particular to general(PIG) and deductive argument is general to particular(GIP). In the first case taking all particular situations it can be generalised something will happen that may be a eviction notice. So this statement is inductive argument.

Second case is an argument because set of reasons give support to an idea. Here the idea is refraction of light.
