your grandfather is dying. While he is in this diminished state, you can easily persuade him to sign some legal documents that would give you sole rights to his large fortune upon his death. If he were fully coherent he would never sign his fortune over to you. No one will ever learn about your deathbed swindle. Should you take the old man's money?

No. It is unethical. It should actually be considered deceit. The person when in normal health would not have agreed to the act. So, using someone's ill health for selfish motives is highly unethical. It is mentioned that the person is in deathbed. he may not be fully consciou, may have memory issues and might not be efficient in cognition. So basically, doing so would be actually cheating the person. However, there will not be any legal issues involved as the person has himself signed the documents. But the ethical and moral side of the issue cannot be neglected.
