The two basic survey methods are as follows.

(1) Face to Face method :- This is kind of method in which the surveyer ask question's with having visual contact and being present there at that very place. This is the most common approach used for surveying methods in the world.This method is time consuming but the results of this method are quite valid in comparison to others.

(2) Telephonic method:- This method of survey approach has seen a growth in past few years.In this method The surveyer ask questions from the person via Telephonic conversation.This method is less time consuming but also lacks the qualitative aspect in the survey.As their is a high risk that people might give incorrect response to the questions which are being asked.
