Orientation of once social dominance describes the need an individual to have an hierarchy in the social system against egalitarian outlook. The higher the score on this scale, the more is the need for the individual to have the hierarchy and clear demarcation and dominance of one group over the other.

  • The people are likely to cause more harm when they are in agentic state allow others to direct their actions and then pass off the responsibility for the consequences to the person giving the orders. In other words, they act as agents for another person’s will.

I would have refused to give shocks to the subject as it is against my personal norms and values and I remain in the autonomous state unless given a wise reason on why I should be doing what I am doing. For me wisdom, is the highest authority which an individual should be obedient towards.
