Frederick Taylor was an engineer who brought forth his skills of science to management and thus named it, scientific management. At the time, factories were looking to replace machines with labor. Taylor understood the job and skill of the workers and observed each one of them. Taylor focused on lesser time and maximum productivity. He noted the set of skills every employee held and used it to its fullest by assigning jobs according to the appropriate skill an employee withholds. Taylor emphasized on hiring the right person for the right job. This approach is very beneficial is today's time as in the hiring process, the candidate goes through multiple rounds in order to choose the right fit for the job.
