The independent variables of the study were attitude similarity, personality similarity and physical attractiveness. The dependent varible of the study was attraction. This is not a true experiment because the subjects were not assigned randomly to the experimental conditions. The results indicated that attraction was significantly related to similarity and to physical attractiveness.
