Answer #1

Self-evaluation plays an important role in the overall development of an employee. Through self-evaluation, employees are given the opportunity to actively engage in the performance assessment process and set their job and career goals. This enables them to make an honest reflection of their strengths and weaknesses, and identity areas in which they should improve. Furthermore, self-evaluation also ensures that employees make efficient preparation for their performance review with the management later.
