Putting forward a number of open ended questions to the students allows them to think beyond the scope of the textbook. When the students begin to explore various part of a topic through those questions, they begin to explore the topic beyond the text book itself. This in turn, helps them to indulge in critical thinking exercises.
As that’s the student would be listening to the reasoning of other people, they would be able to look out the flaws in their reasoning. Or look at the same problem in another perspective. This allows the student to be looking into more than one perspective when trying to find a solution. This makes the individual highly imaginative and exploratory in their thoughts.
