Answer #1

The supreme court decision Marbury v. Madison case of 1803 established the authority of court's as the final word bearer intge acts of legislation and executives under the Constitutional rules. With regard to this case the Supreme Court gave the ruling that a part of Judiciary Act of 1789 was unconsititutional, thus it was null and void. For the first the Court asserted its judicial power in interpreting the Constitution over the legislation and judiciary. Thus, this case proved to be a turning point in the American history as it affirmed the status of court in balancing the powers of the executive and legislation, and as the protector of the Constitution.
