Answer #1

In order to increase survey resoinses, one should keep the following things in mind.

1. In accordance with the target population, choose an appropriate questionnaire length. In general when the survey is too long, the participant may complete only a part of it, making the data unusable, or may avoid answering altogether. It has been found that shorter surveys do elicit a higher response rate.

2. Make the survey participant friendly. Many times the researcher will focus on the evakuaeval of the survey and will forget the participant who is actually taking the survey. The more attractive the questionnaire is, the easier it is to take and return, the higher the response rate will be.

3. Try to get in touch with the participants multiple times so as to ensure that they complete the questionnaire. Contacting them and asking them to complete it increases the likelihood of them comoletinc it. On the other hand, sending them the survey itself, specifically after the 4th time increases response rates from 12 to 20 percentage.

4. Choose the correct delivery method. Know your audience and choose the correct delivery method, be it paper, web, or telephone.
