The 5 year old Ryan got a deep cut in his chin while kicking the soccer ball inside the house. He fell down and his chin hit the edge of the wooden stool resulting in deep cut, bleeding and unbearable pain.

Primary prevention measures.

  • Children shouldn't be allowed to play games inside the house, that are meant to be played outside.
  • Things that would make children stumble and get hurt shouldn't be kept in the areas where they normally play and move around.

Secondary measures.

Immediate first aid to stop bleeding and taking him to the nearby medical center at the earliest.

Tertiary measures.
