Body Ritual among the Nacirema discusses the curious body rituals of the American ethnic/cultural group known as the Nacirema. I believe that the article is a satirical piece on how the approach of Native Americans towards many religious ceremonies and how their interaction with each other is perceived by others. After reading through the article, I felt as though anthropologists have a tendency to look for something out of the ordinary. In studying different cultures, anthropologists seem focus only on the interesting facts. They attempt to look hard and over exaggerate it seems to imbelish what was actually happening.
