Cognitive dissonance is the mental discomfort experienced by a person having simultaneously two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values leading to a state of inconsistent thoughts, beliefs, or attitudes, especially as relating to behavioural decisions and attitude change. For example a person using drugs despite of the fact he knows it is illegal. Cognitive dissonancence happens as we having various beliefs due to the difference in views of people. This happens as the human population is diverse having different views.
