  • ANSWER- Survey research involves asking a relatively large number of people the same set of standardized questions.
  • It is used mostly in social sciences, used to assess opinions, attitudes, thoughts of people about a specific social topic, any particular product etc. They can be done using questionnaires, which the respondents fill up themselves which could lead to socially desirable responses and there is an interview method in which questions are asked by the researcher, using telephones etc.
  • Sometimes questionnaires are also mailed to the people, which has low response rate.
