Title VII of the civil rights act formulated in the year 1964 that would be prohibiting the various employers in discrimination with employees based on their colour, race as well as gender, or even their religion or national origin. This wouldonlh be applicable to the employers having 15 or more number of employers. This would also be applicable in the public and the private colleges as well as universities and also labor organisations. Even though this title had been passed almost a half centrifugal ago, workplace discrimination on the basis of gender and race still exist. Title VII has forbidden discrimination in the following employment aspects:

  • Employee classification, assignment asslocation or compensation
  • Firing as well as hiring.
  • Layoff, recall, transfer and promotion
  • Advertisements of jobs
  • Recruitment.
  • Fringe benefits
  • Programs of apprenticeship and training
