  • 1.Emotional contagion-When people “pick up” the emotional state of others.For example, a room full of people getting particularly emotional, due solely to one person being extremely emotional in their midst.This can be a positive emotion (joy, excitement, anticipation, attraction) or a negative emotion (sadness, anger, fear, destitution) but it is usually a strong emotion.That said, it is possible for the emotion of apathy to be contagious.
  • It is the phenomenon that individuals tend to express and feel emotions that are similar to those of others. When someone tells you with a big smile that she passed an important test, you smile as well.
