Answer #1

Alzheimer’s disease impacts a large number of individuals across the world and is the largest cause of dementia. However, there is a lack of knowledge and awareness about the disease. It is extremely important to have some basic knowledge about Alzheimer’s and the unique warning signs that differentiate this disease from basic forgetfulness that older adults tend to experience. Unfortunately, Alzheimer’s disease affects not just the patients but also the family members in many ways. Caregiving is often a long-term process because a person with Alzheimer’s typically experiences a slow progression of the disease. Sufficient knowledge about Alzheimer’s can help improve the quality of life for the person with Alzheimer’s and for the caregiver.
