1. Are reasons a type of cause? Why?
2. Can a machine make a mistake on purpose? Why? What does that mean?
1.No reasons aren't a type of cause. This is so because with causes something tends to occur or happen. For example there was a banana peel on the ground and so I fell down. Here, banana peel is the cause because of which falling is occuring. But with reasons it isn't a cause for the occurrence. For example I give money because I like to help the needy. The help for needy isn't an occurrence leading to the person giving money.
2.No,i don't think machines can make mistakes on purpose. This is so because machines do not have original, independent thinking but only simulated intelligence.
