Rhodes’ work in gender differences has been controversial. Do you think what he says encourages? inequality? Why or why not? Does the work of Kohlberg and Gilligan, and our own “Morality Quiz”? support what Rhodes has to say about gender differences? Explain. (about 100 words)
Dr. Steven Rhoads’ book, ‘Taking Sex Differences Seriously’ discusses some most important biological aspects that triggers certain responses differently in men and women. He tries to prove it scientifically and invites everyone to understand why men and women behave differently. It’s a well written, well researched and full of rich information which will help the advancing women and the men who tries to prevent them. He explains that it’s natural for men and women to feel, think and behave differently because of their physical, genetic and brain make-up. So, in my opinion it doesn’t propagate gender inequality but it’s a treasure that will make people understand the bases of gender differences.
