Acute disorders are the extreme disorders than the normal ones such as acute stress disorder, acute anxiety disorder or acute psychotic disorder. These disorders are extreme. The have extreme symptoms than normal disorders.

Acute psychotic disorder is marked by hallucinations, delusion which are variables even from hour to hour and interfer in day to day functioning. Acute stress disorder is marked by extreme anxiety, irritability,mood swings within a month of experiencing of traumatic events.
