Explain which of Durkheim’s types best explains the leading cause of suicide in South Africa

ANS- According to Emile Durkheim's, there are 4 types of suicide and they are as follows:-

1. Egoistic suicide- a person feel alone in the world, he has no social interaction.

2. Altruistic suicide- The involvement of the social group is high, expectations from that group are very high that can lead to sacrifice.

3. Anomic suicide- At the time of stress, at the time of frustration. For example financial crisis.

4. Fatalistic suicide- When people are under strict rules and regulations. They have no sense of self or individuality.
