The jurisdiction system is segregated into several types of courts such as municipal courts, district courts or high courts. The supreme court being at an ace position, holds a power which can be called as 'Appellate jurisdiction', Under which supreme court can hear the appeals from lower courts like municipal or a district court and can ,accordingly alter or modify the lower court's decision. Appellate jurisdiction can be passed on for any civil case (such as civil rights case) or criminal case proceedings and modifications may be done on reviewing the proper administration of law and court's decision. These prime jurisdiction plays an important role in checking of legal errors or factual errors (if any). They substantially contribute to bring changes in the decision outcomes of lower courts and thus, improving the uniformity of law in the concerned state.
