Maslow’s hierarchy of needs is a five ladder model that starts with its lowest wrung - being the survival needs, climbing all the way up to self realization needs. One movie that does this well could be movies like hunger games wherein the protagonist is trying to fulfill the physiological need of food and water - or basic survival.
Which proceeds to safety needs that includes shelter. Moving on to love and belongingness and she tries to make friends with people to help fight for a greater cause. Fourth wrung being esteem, which is confidence elevation and last wrung being self realization/actualization where the person has reached their full potential.
