Heuristics is mental shortcut which sloows people to make quick decision. Heuristics are often influenced by rule of thumb, past experiences. However they donot necessarily involve correct solution

Algoritham is used where the accuracy is required, Heuristics is not time consuming and hence it is used to for quicker decisons. Heuristcis can be used in everyday decision, but algoritham can be used to find the best solution to any complex problems
