Tony has planned his trip to Europe using guide books and other people's experiences. His schedule includes as many places as he could manage based on the available train schedules. He is so motivated to have a good trip he has even learned a few phrases in French and German. What is one other suggestion for building intercultural skills which might still benefit Tony? Why do you suggest this?

• He can find people who know the region to which he is travelling, and ask their advice regarding any cultural problems and traps he might face and needs to be aware of.He should be able to adapt to the behaviours of the people where he is traveling so that he doesnt gets offended and does something inappropriate.For that,he should listen to others attentively while conversing and ask appropriate questions to gain more knowledge.He can use local television channels,newspapers,restaurants or even libraries to know about behavioural norms and culture.
