Answer #1

The generation gap often causes individuals belonging to specified generation to have opposing views on issues such as contraception.

While parents have a positive view towards contraception, grandparents belonging to slightly conservative Catholic beliefs generally hold negative view towards contraception believing artificial means of contraception interfere with God's divine plan of birth of a new life and hence should be avoided.

Parents wish for alternatives such as oral contraceptives that weren't easily available during their times to be available as easily. Their lives would be easier with regards to the health benefits such as easy and smooth menstrual cycle, healthy skin etc would be available. Also family planning would have been easier and smoother.
