In order to save time, Mrs. Bowen plans to ise the social studies tests that accompany the social studies text adopted by the district. What sggestions might you make to help Mrs. Bowen determine the validity and appropiateness of these tests for her students?

As Mrs. Bowen wants to revise the social studies tests, there are a few consideration she should look into in order to do this successfully. They are as follows:

• She should first asses the English language ability of her students and devise the test in accordance with the English ability which the students have.
• As the students are from low SES, they may not have not have educational standard which the current social studies tests have. And so, the social studies tests have to be modified so that these students understand the context and material of these tests.
